The Casa Frela Gallery will host its annual fall art festival in Harlem titled Bedeviled, as a part of 9th Annual Open House New York Weekend and the Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour. This weekend festival will feature 9 local artisans whose work is chosen especially with early fall shoppers in mind. The festival will be held on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 and Sunday, October 16th, 2011, from 9am to 7pm both days. Admission is FREE. An artist reception will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2011 from 7pm to 9pm.

Here you’ll find a wide range of unique and interesting seasonal items from photography, prints, unframed water color originals, small acrylics on wood and canvas, handcrafted jewelry, hand-made leather bag and lamps, antique brass and copper fixtures, Mylar flowers, mixed-media boxes and paintings and much more making this a gift buyers delight.

Featured artisans, individually selected by the Gallery, include Evi Abeler, Darlene Aschbacher, AFineLyne, Stephen Brown, Handstrung.com, On the Road to Marrakech, Thomas Schultz, Daina Shobrys, Tagea Vangsgaard and food catered by Casa Frela Gallery.

The weekend festival is an enchanting gift celebration, drawing in thousands of visitors who happily complete their fall shopping early. The gallery takes great pleasure in inviting the public to enjoy a early fall shopping experience at a leisurely pace while finding quality merchandise and unique one-of-a-kind gifts.

We also invite you to enter to win a gift from our holiday prize drawing.

Let your fall begin at the Bedeviled an Enchanting Art Festival exclusively at Casa Frela Gallery. It’s a devil of a show!

Also, concurrently exhibiting at the gallery is “14” the South African Art Show, which is part of the Harlem Gallery Tour sponsored by the Casa Frela Gallery and “SongBooks” – a historic retrospective of songbooks also sponsored by the Casa Frela Gallery.

Chapter 7
P 87 – 105

Gigi’s cheat sheet

Customize your artist statement, bio, and resume for each grant application you submit, including only the information that’s relevant and supports your case.

Use headings and paragraph breaks so the document is easy to read and navigate.

Be consistent with all formatting.

Draw inspiration from other artists’ artist statement

Write your artist statement in the first person (using “I”) and your bio in the third person (using “he” or “she”).

Make your statement a living document that you read and edit regularly.
