Chinese born, Internationally known Harlem based artists, Seahawk Wang Radojcic, in 1997, with nine other artists, she was deemed one of China's 10 best artists and a national art treasure by Hong Kong’s Ming Magazine. SeaHawk painted predominantly in a contemporary style. Her earlier works are surreal compared to her more recent (2003-2010) realistic portrayals of people and city life in her neighborhood of Harlem. In 1991, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.

These paintings combine elements from a traditional landscape genre with a pattern & decoration composition to formally investigate painting as a site for the juxtaposition of the Urban and the Natural in an abstracted collage of continuity and rhythm. References to Utopianism, Rousseau, Mondrian and others are acknowledged but not stylistically followed.

I am an oil painter living in Harlem. I enjoy plein air painting in Central Park and in Harlem, but I am specializing in figurative and portrait work. I study Fine Arts as the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. I have also done workshops with some of the contemporary masters; Daniel Greene, Kim English, Michael Grimes, Irwin Greenberg, and many more. I also owned and operated "The Painting Gypsies" - I take painters on painting expeditions to Northern Spain.
